How is This Different Than Other Power Factor Correction Devices? While other PFC devices have made big claims, they don’t deliver (and likely aren’t used by the U.S. Army, like Speed Joule is). Speed Joule does, proven by 30 years of case studies and reduced electric bills. Speed Joule uniquely combines surge protection with advanced capacitive technology for optimal power efficiency and equipment safety. Unlike traditional devices that only improve power factor, Speed Joule also shields against voltage spikes with Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs), enhancing device and equipment lifespan. Its durable capacitors ensure long-term, reliable performance in demanding environments, offering both energy optimization and a protective layer not found in standard units, making it a comprehensive solution for electrical system enhancement.
-
Has Speed Joule Been Tested & Certified?Yes! Speed Joule is has been tested extensively in all applications and is UL, ANSI/IEEE, ETL and CSA Certified.
-
How Much Should I Expect To Save With Speed Joule? On average, users can anticipate a 10% to 30% reduction in consumption across all applications. (We have seen as high as 50%+) However, it's crucial to note that individual savings may vary based on factors such as the current energy efficiency of the application site, the number of units installed (determined through a proper application assessment), and whether the application utilizes solar energy. Regardless of these variables, all users will benefit from comprehensive protection against surges, transient voltages, and electrical anomalies. Furthermore, users can expect their appliances and equipment to enjoy an additional lifespan of 50% to 100%.

How Are Speed Joule Units Installed?Installing Speed Joule units is simple and fast. After purchase, you'll receive an installation guide. Please be aware that a licensed electrician is required for safe installation and to maintain your warranty. The SpeedJoule can be installed at the electrical panel boards for whole system improvement. The units are mounted directly to panel boards or adjacent to them, depending on the particular unit, and then connected to a spare circuit breaker in the panel. For targeted system improvement it is recommended that the SpeedJoule also be installed on or nearby electrical motorized loads such as air handling units, pumps and motorized equipment and connected to the circuitry feeding the load. Units are manufactured for use in AC systems ranging from 120/240V Single Phase, 208V, 240V and 480V Three Phase configurations and for continuous Amperages ranging from as few as 5A up to 300A.
